Booking your appointment
You can book appointments at your convenience through our user-friendly online booking system or by calling 0151 458 2947. Our phone lines are open Monday – Friday 09.15-17.30. If you call outside these hours, please leave a message, and our clinic coordinator will respond during working hours. Please note that appointments cannot be booked, changed, or cancelled via social media or text messaging.
Booking Fees
A £50 booking fee is required to secure all appointments.
This is not an additional charge and will be deducted from the cost of your treatment.
Booking fees are used to secure appointment time and cover administration costs associated with late cancellations and non-attendance.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled by providing a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice, your booking fee will be forfeited.
Appointments may only be rescheduled on one occasion. Any subsequent request to reschedule will be treated as a cancellation and the booking fee will be forfeited. A new booking fee will be required to secure a future appointment.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of your booking fee.
Repeated missed appointments may result in restrictions being placed on future bookings.
Illness Policy
If you are feeling unwell, have cold or flu-like symptoms, or any contagious illness, please do not attend your appointment.
For the safety of our patients and team members, treatment will not be provided if you attend whilst unwell.
If an appointment is cancelled due to illness within 48 hours of the appointment time, this will be treated as a late cancellation and the booking fee will be forfeited.
Late Arrival Policy
We ask all patients to arrive on time for their appointment.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, your appointment may need to be cancelled or shortened to avoid delays for other patients.
In these circumstances, the booking fee may be forfeited.
Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) Consultations
In accordance with UK prescribing regulations, all new patients seeking Botulinum Toxin treatment must attend a face-to-face consultation at least 48 hours prior to treatment.
Following a satisfactory consultation, a prescription will be issued and the product ordered from the pharmacy, therefore treatment cannot be carried out on the same day.
This requirement also applies where a patient has not consulted with their practitioner within the previous 6 months, or there are any changes to medical history.
Review Appointments
Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) Reviews
Botulinum toxin review appointments are included as part of your treatment package and should be attended between 2 and 4 weeks following treatment.
This review period allows the practitioner to accurately assess treatment outcomes and determine whether any adjustment is clinically appropriate.
Botulinum Toxin A review appointments should be attended within 2–4 weeks following treatment. Reviews requested more than 4 weeks after treatment will not be eligible for assessment or additional treatment under the original treatment episode as this may increase the risk of developing neutralising antibodies, which can reduce the effectiveness of future Botulinum toxin A treatments.
If you fail to attend a booked review appointment or cancel/reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the complimentary review appointment will be forfeited.
Should you wish to arrange a further review appointment, a £50 review fee will be payable at the time of booking.
Skin Review Appointments
A £50 booking fee is required to secure all skin review appointments.
If you fail to attend a skin review appointment or cancel/reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the booking fee will be forfeited.
Chaperones
Better You Medical Aesthetics & Skin Clinic is committed to ensuring patients feel comfortable, respected and supported during their consultation and treatment.
Patients may request a chaperone for any consultation, examination or treatment. Where appropriate, the clinic may also recommend or require a chaperone to be present.
If you would like a chaperone to attend your appointment, please let us know in advance where possible so appropriate arrangements can be made. Chaperones will be trained members of staff.
The clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment if a suitable chaperone is required but unavailable.
To maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and infection prevention standards, only patients receiving treatment are permitted in treatment rooms.
The only exceptions are where a chaperone is requested or required, where a patient requires assistance due to a medical condition or accessibility requirement, or where authorised staff members are present for training, supervision or quality assurance purposes.
Patients wishing to request a chaperone should notify the clinic in advance where possible so appropriate arrangements can be made.
The clinic reserves the right to refuse entry to additional visitors and may postpone treatment if privacy, safety or clinical standards cannot be maintained.
Children and Accompanying Persons
Children are not permitted in treatment rooms.
Please attend your appointment alone unless you require assistance due to a medical condition or accessibility requirement.
Preparing for Your Appointment
Please arrive with clean, freshly cleansed skin and no makeup on the treatment area.
This helps minimise the risk of contamination and treatment-related complications.
If you arrive wearing makeup, your appointment may need to be cancelled and your booking fee forfeited.
Baby wipes are not considered an adequate method of cleansing the skin before treatment.
Pre-Treatment and Aftercare Requirements
Patients are responsible for following all pre-treatment and post-treatment advice provided by the clinic.
Failure to follow treatment preparation instructions or aftercare advice may increase the risk of complications, affect treatment outcomes and may result in treatment being postponed or declined.
Specific preparation and aftercare instructions will be provided according to the treatment being undertaken.
Treatment Suitability
All treatments are subject to consultation and clinical assessment.
The practitioner reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is not considered safe, appropriate, or in the patient’s best interests.
A consultation fee or booking fee is non-refundable if, following assessment, treatment is deemed unsuitable.
Contacting the Clinic
Appointments cannot be booked, amended, or cancelled via social media channels.
Please contact the clinic directly by telephone or email regarding appointment enquiries.
Emergency contact details should only be used for genuine post-treatment emergencies.
By booking an appointment with Better You Medical Aesthetics & Skin Clinic, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
